Thanks to Yoochun’s Hallyu star status, MBC’s upcoming mini-series “Ripley” will be exported to Japan!
This marks the second drama featuring the JYJ member that sold its broadcasting rights to Japan. Last year, Yoochun’s “Sungkyungkwan Scandal” hit a sales mark of 3 billion won (approximately $2.79 million USD).
Seeing as how “Sungkyungkwan Scandal” was a 20-episode series, it’s estimated that the 16 episodes from “Ripley” would have been sold fo around 2.5 million won (approximately $2.32 million USD).
Yoochun plays a man who’s in love with actress Lee Da Hae’s character. Their worlds fall apart after Lee Da Hae lets loose an accidental lie, which snowballs and disturbs the worlds of those around her. “Ripley” will begin airing later this month on May 30th.
