[News] Gong Yoo likely to make small screen comeback in upcoming KBS series.

Korean actor Gong Yoo may star in an upcoming KBS TV series, making his comeback to the small screen for the first time in five years.

An official with Gong's agency Soop Management told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday that Gong is in the final stages of making his decision on whether he will star in KBS' drama tentatively titled "Big," which is scheduled to go on air in the second half of the year.

"As of right now, he is positively looking into the role and will soon make his final decision in the coming week," the official explained.

Gong Yoo's last starred in MBC's hit TV series "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" in 2007 and has since focused on his movie career with his roles in "Finding Mr. Destiny" and "The Crucibles."

"Big" is written by the famed twin scripwriters Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, who are also known for their popular series "He's Beautiful." The show will tell the story of an 18-year-old teenager who wakes up to find himself as a 30-year-old man.

Meanwhile, an official with Barunson Entertainment said that actress Lee Min-jung is positively looking into the role of the female lead.
