A Chinese TV series starring Korean actress Lee Da-hae will begin its air in the Greater China region in late summer.
Tentatively titled "The Secret to Love," Lee's new drama will hit the airwaves on China's Hunan TV in August, her agency Foster Entertainment's official told 10Asia in a brief telephone interview on Friday.
"We heard that the series will also make its way to other major broadcasting channels such as CCTV and regional stations in the country," the official explained.
In "The Secret to Love," Lee plays So-ha who becomes a successful cook at a dimsum restaurant opposite popular Chinese actor Joe Cheng.
Lee made her debut in 2001 and starred in different genres of dramas and rose to stardom in Korea and throughout Asia with SBS' popular series "My Girl" in 2005.
She also played the female lead alongside Korean actors Jang Hyuk and Oh Ji-ho in the hit KBS historical drama "The Slave Hunters."
Her latest MBC series, "Miss Ripley," played with Kim Seung-woo, Park Yuchun and Kang Hye-jung. recorded high viewership ratings during its premiere.
