[News] Stars Attend 2012 SIA and Jang Dong Gun Wins “Style of the Year”.

It’s that time of year again and award ceremonies are being held one by one! The 2012 Style Icon Awards (or SIA) was held for two days from October 24 to October 25 and actor Jang Dong Gun won the grand prize, which is the “Style of the Year” award for 2012.

10 individuals and teams were chosen as the “Teen Style Icon” including Psy, Seo In Gook and Jung Eun Ji, Song Joong Ki, Yoo Joon Sang, Jang Dong Gun, Ha Jung Woo, Lim Soo Jung, Suzy, Super Junior and SISTAR. Out of those stars, Jang Dong Gun won the biggest award of the night with “Style of the Year.”

Jang Dong Gun gave a speech saying, “Thank you so much. I wonder if I deserve this award among all the other great nominees. I’m sorry and thank you.” He continued, “I think I received a lot of love from all of you this year. I am thinking about how I could repay you for that. I will try to find you with better acting, better style in good projects more often.” Jang Dong Gun also mentioned, “Honey, I received the grand prize!” showing his affection for his wife Go So Young, which received a lot of loud cheers.

Other stars received special awards such as Jo Yoon Hee, Jo Jung Suk, Yoon Mirae, Yoon Bok Hee and Go Joon Hee.

This years 5th annual SIA celebrates the stars’ influences and inspirations of the hottest trends to the general public. It is a big festival that contains an awards ceremony, bazaar, concert, film screenings and more.

Special performances were given by Yoon Mirae, Yoon Do Hyun, Yoon Gun, John Park, SISTAR, Super Junior and Suzy.
