KBS drama “Jeon Woochi” and “I Miss You” on MBC are in a fierce battle on the Wednesday and Thursday primetime ratings chart.
The winner of the week of December 12 and 13 is a fantasy comic drama “Jeon Woochi,” scoring an average rating of 12.0 percent, according to data polled by TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] Friday.
The period-set series has garnered much attention from TV audiences by portraying a rivalry between two Taoist magicians in the Joseon Dynasty.
Chasing closely behind is the MBC series, “I Miss You,” which earned the support of 11.8 percent of total viewers during the same time frame.
Starring popular actors Park Yuchun, Yoo Seung-ho and actress Yoon Eun-hye, the serious melodrama tells the story of a detective and a fashion designer who've had their hearts broken by their first love.
SBS’ historical series “The Great Seer,” starring acclaimed actors Ji Sung and Ji Jin-hee, landed at the last position after posting 9.1 percent.
Meanwhile, AGB Nielson Media Research’s data showed the three dramas in the same orders but slightly different figures from the TNmS’ in the second week of December.
While “Jeon Woochi” dominated the chart with 12.0 percent, “I Miss You” and “The Great Seer” each followed next with 11.3 and 8.5 percent.
