The KBS series “Jeon Woochi” has stretched its winning streak on the Wednesday and Thursday TV chart, while the new MBC drama “7th Grade Civil Servant” showed strong 1st week ratings score.

The costume drama with a comic touch sat atop the chart for six weeks in a row after pulling in an average of 14.1 percent ratings during the week of January 23 and 24, TNmS’ [Total National Multimedia Statistics] data showed Friday.

With four more episodes left to run, heightened tension between Jeon Woochi [played by Cha Tae-hyun] and Ganglim [played by Lee Hee-jun] firmly grabbed the attention from TV audiences last week.

Sitting at No. 2 is the new MBC drama “7th Grade Civil Servant,” starring Joo Won, Choi Kang-hee and 2PM’s Chansung, which grabbed an average of 13.4 percent of viewers.

The 20-episode series has kicked off to a good start by introducing four would-be young secret agents each with a different reason for entering the National Intelligence Service.

The SBS period series “The Great Seer” posted an average of 10.3 percent ratings and is expected to keep its bottom position until it wraps up in two weeks.

Nielsen Korea showed the three dramas in different order and figures from those of TNmS’ during the fourth week of January.
While “7th Grade” grabbed the top seed with 13.6 percent ratings, “Jeon Woochi” and “The Great Seer” followed next with 13.5 and 9.3 percent, respectively.
