Actor Yoo Ah-in may become the leading man of the new SBS drama ‘Jang Ok Jeong’.
A representative of the actor’s management on 4th commented “Yoo Ah-in has received the casting from the drama’s producers and is positive about it. We have not confirmed the appearance yet, because the proposal was made only a short while ago”.
Yoo Ah-in has been cast as King Sukjong of Joseon, the love interest of Kim Tae-hee’s role Jang Ok Jeong.
Yoo Ah-in has appeared in the dramas ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’, ‘Fashion King’, and the movie ‘Punch’, with many praising the actor’s stability and weight. Making another foray into the historical dramas, his collaboration with Kim Tae-hee will be a highly anticipated affair.
‘Jang Ok Jeong’ is a re-imagining of the arguably the most famous woman in the history of Joseon, the infamous Concubine Jang, as a fashion designer rather than her usual image of a brutal and vicious femme fatale.
The drama will premiere as the follow-up to the SBS ‘Yawang’, on March 18th.
