The MBC drama “The King’s Doctor” has secured
its number one position on the Monday and Tuesday ratings chart, edging
out the SBS drama “Queen of Ambition” with a narrow gap.
The TV epic managed to sit atop the chart after drawing in an average of 18.6 percent viewers during the week of March 4 and 5, TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] showed on Wednesday.
With the suspense rising after secrets about lovers-and-rivals Gwang-hyun [Cho Seung-woo] and Ji-nyeong’s [Lee Yo-won] birth were revealed, all eyes are on whether the period series will keep the No. 1 spot until the finale in three weeks.
Sitting at No. 2 by a margin of 0.7 percent is the SBS drama “Queen of Ambition,” which posted an average of 17.9 percent ratings in the same time frame.
In this week’s episodes, Da-hae [Soo Ae] was left humiliated after a series of evil deeds she had done came to the surface.
At the bottom of the chart was the KBS series “AD Genius Lee Tae Baek,” which has been keeping its disgraced position for five weeks after pulling in an average of 4.0 percent ratings this week.
Meanwhile, Nielsen Korea showed the three dramas in the same order and similar figures from TNmS’ during the first week of March.
