With the investigations for Park Si Hoo‘s sexual assault case drawing near a close, a few media outlets reported that the police had determined that Park Si Hoo had lied on all of the questions asked him during the lie detector test; and that they are considering requesting for an arrest warrant when they send in their report in for review to the prosecution.

However, Park Si Hoo’s legal team has issued a firm response denying the reports, and has announced their intention to take legal action against the two media outlets that first reported on these issues.

The legal team sent out an official statement that read as follows:
1. On the issue of sending in report for review by the prosecution,
The statements “We are about to send in Park Si Hoo’s report for prosecution review” and “We might also be requesting an arrest warrant” reported by a portion of the media are not confirmed facts at all. From what our legal team has confirmed with the police, there has been nothing decided on these matters whatsoever; and additional evidence materials have been submitted to the police on Friday (March 22nd, 2013), so the police won’t be making any decisions until after reviewing the new materials.
2. On the result of the lie detector test
The statements saying “Park Si Hoo’s lie detector test results showed that he lied on every answer” are completely untrue. The police have never discussed the result of the lie detector test, it’s a result that even the legal team has a hard time getting information about from them.
3. Request for refraining from issuing reports
Our legal team will be responding with aggressive legal action against the two media outlets that first reported on the two topics mentioned above, so please refrain from reporting on matters of such nature until the police release their final decision.
In addition, the Director of the Criminal Litigation Division Yoon Tae Bong also revealed that the reports about the lie detector test results were false, as the police have never released the result. ”There is nothing the police can confirm about the result of the lie detector test. The comment of the police officer that appeared in the media reports has not been released by us as our official statement.
