The Taiwanese singer is estimated to rake in S$3.15m from the endorsement. Taiwanese singer Show Luo, whose popularity has risen significantly following his well-received performance in Stephen Chow’s latest film Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons, recently signed a lucrative endorsement deal with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau.

The Bureau will be organising a bike trip as well as a fan-meet session which is estimated to attract more than 2,500 international fans. According to media reports, Show will rake in NT$75 million (approximately S$3.15 million) from the events.

Appearing at National Taiwan University for an imaging shoot yesterday, Show prided himself as a born and bred Taiwanese and sang praises of his country’s cuisine while learning to make the reknowned Taiwanese bubble tea. He said, “No other place in the world serves better food than the night markets here.”

The singer claimed to be extremely familiar with the Keelung Night Market in his hometown, and jokingly bragged that he is fit to be town mayor as he is on good relations with all the people in the area.

In other related news, Show responded to the reports on his neighbours’ unhappiness regarding his pet musk hog’s stench and defecating patterns, saying, “I’ve quickly sent people to clean up the rooftop when I heard the news.”

The 33-year-old also revealed that he will relocate all his pets to a home for stray animals which he has invested millions of Taiwanese dollars on, when the place is ready in two months’ time.
