2PM’s Taecyeon (Real name, Ok Taecyeon) was cast in 'Dream High', this drama portraying the challenges and passion of youths who dream of becoming stars. He will be taking the character of Jin-guk, someone who has put a wall between himself and school. Despite that, thee Kirin Preparatory School's chairman notices his talents and begins to help Jinguk realize his dream of becoming a world star.

He will be joined by actor Kim Soo Hyun, who is the same age as Taecyeon. While Taecyeon is working on his acting and projecting, Soo Hyun is practicing dancing and singing.

Regarding the drama, Taecyeon says, "I'm really restless and anticipating upon having a new project. Since it's a drama that music accompanies, I anticipate it more, and I feel really good since I'm going to be working with many more good people, and sunbaes. I'll do my best to create a good product".

Dream High will be Taecyeon's second drama after debuting in Cinderella's Sister at the beginning of the year.

The drama is already garnering attention due to the partnership between major companies JYP Entertainment, KEYEAST, and CJ Media. Bae Yong Joon, a highly recognized veteran actor, and Park Jin Young, CEO of JYP Entertainment, will partcipate in the production and musical arrangment as well.

'Dream High' focuses on different teenagers with different backgrounds and situations, entering the private school, Kirin Preparatory School, to work on their various talents. Each of them go through several challenges before achieving the world star status.

The drama is set to air on 2011 January 3rd on Mondays and Tuesdays.
