KBS New drama King Geunchogo (근초고왕 (近肖古王), the sageuk set in the Baekje kingdom. Leader cast starring by Kam Woo-sung as the king, Kim Ji-soo as Buyeo Hwa, Ahn Jae-mo as Jin Seung.

The story have 70-episode this drama follows the life King Geunchogo, warrior king of Baekje (one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea) who reigned from 346 to 375 A.D, that is considered Baekje’s greatest state. He expanded the kingdom’s territorial with military conquests and made him controlling most of the Korean penisula as well as opened trading lines between China and Japan.

Under the King Geunchogo reign, the kingdom experienced its glory days, with military conquests that saw him controlling most of the Korean peninsula and a subsequent enhancement of political power that reached its greatest height in Baekje's history.

‘King Geunchogo’ start airing on November 6th last 2 weeks, The production director Yoon Chang Bum said, “The drama ‘King Geunchogo’ was produced to discover the roots of Korea. We could not yet find the roots of Beakje, and I think that we might be able to have an opportunity to look back on how Beakje influenced the current times by studying Beakje while we produce this drama.”



Actor Kam Woo Sung will make a comeback to the small screen after a five-year break and he will appear in a historical drama for the first time by playing “King Geunchogo,” who had made the nation of Baekje prosperous with his powerful influence beyond the Korean peninsula to China and Japan.

Kam expressed his feelings by saying, “… I have decided to join this drama due to a strong curiosity about ‘King Geunchogo.’ I wanted to find out what kind of great king he had been. I will play him in the drama with the thought that the script itself is real. I want to feel pride as a Korean by presenting how great of a history we Koreans had in the past.”
