KBS weekend series "Ohjakgyo Brothers" has placed first on weekly TV charts, making it the first time for the show to surpass its competitors since its premiere two weeks ago.
The show, which went on air starting August 6, topped both Total National Multimedia Statistics (TNmS) and AGB Nielsen Media Research's surveys with viewership ratings of 22.7 percent and 21.7 percent, respectively, the mark 2.4 to 3.7 percentage points higher than the previous week.
Starring a number of well-recognized actors including Baek Il-sup, Kim Ja-ok, Jung Woong-in, Ryu Soo-young, Joo Won and UIE, "Ohjakgyo," a 50-part family drama, revolves around four brothers who are raised by their parents who own a farm outside of Seoul.
In the meantime, KBS' daily series "Bittersweet My Life" took the No. 2 spot on the charts after posting ratings of 21.7 percent and 20.3 percent on TNmS and AGB's polls, respectively.
The show, starring actress Jung Eun-chae and TRAX's Jay, was the winner the previous week, according to TNmS' findings and the third most-watched show according to AGB's statistics.
