MBC's weekend drama "Twinkle Twinkle" became the most-watched show in the country during the first week of August, scoring its first win on weekly TV charts.
"Twinkle Twinkle," starring Kim Hyun-joo and Lee Yu-ri, recorded high marks on both charts with viewership ratings of 21.9 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) survey and 24.8 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll during the week of August 1 to 7.
Last week's episode focused on how Seung-jun (Kim Seok-hoon) feels sad after leaving his lover Jung-won (Kim Hyun-joo).
TNmS' survey revealed that KBS' weekly series "Bittersweet My Life," starring Jung Eun-chae and TRAX's Jay, was No. 2 on the chart with ratings 20.4 percent.
KBS' new family drama "Ohjakgyo Brothers," featuring UIE, Joo Won, Jung Woong-in and Ryu-young, began its run on a high note, placing in third with viewership ratings of 20 percent.
Meanwhile, AGB's chart showed that KBS' variety program "Happy Sunday" was the second most-watched show in the country with ratings of 19.9 percent followed sequentially by "Ohkjakgyo Brothers" with ratings of 18.9 percent.
