There will be a total of 4 'Mary Stayed Out All Night Fanmeetings in Japan', 2 'Meetings in Tokyo' and 2 'meetings in Osaka'. Their Fanmeeting is the largest Fans Meet to date which can accommodate in more than 10,000 people.
On August 20th, actor Jang Keun Suk held a Japanese fan meet at the Omiya Sonic City Hall in Saitama with 2,000 fans in attendance.
Jang Keun Suk opened up the event by singing a track from his ‘You’re Beautiful‘ drama OST. Ten special fans were also brought up to the stage to win autographed cosmetic sets, and they even took pictures with the star. Fans were said to have teared up as they shook hands and hugged him while the rest of the audience cheered on in jealousy.
What surprised everyone the most, however, was his fluent Japanese skills. Jang Keun Suk led the entire event without an interpreter and even completed his official interview on his own.
He stated, “It’s not that I couldn’t speak Japanese before, but I just wanted to focus as much as possible at official events, which is why I spoke in Korean. In order to get closer with my fans, I am planning on speaking more Japanese. I’ve been studying in the car and watching and listening to a lot of Japanese dramas and music.”
