Song Seung-heon has turned down medical drama "Brain" according to his agency.
An official with Storm S Company told 10Asia over the phone on Saturday that Song has decided not to star in the Monday and Tuesday series whose story will be set in the neurological surgery department of a university hospital.
"There's a lot to prepare for medical dramas so we judged that it'd be tough for him to start filming the show at the end of this month," the official explained.
"Brain" is set to premiere in November following current 16-part series "Poseidon" which went on air starting last Monday.
Hence producers will have to hurry and find a cast -- they had originally considered actor Lee Sang-yoon for the role but replaced him with Song for reasons of age.
Song himself is looking into several small and big screen projects since his last acting role in TV series "My Princess" opposite top Korean actress Kim Tae-hee earlier this year.
