Han Hyo-joo will sign an exclusive contract with a management agency in Japan this month, according to her agency BH Entertainment.
An official with BH told 10Asia on Tuesday that Han is in the final stages of signing with Japanese agency FLaMme which manages the career of top Japanese actress Ryoko Hirosue.
"The C.E.Os of BH and FLaMme had a meeting yesterday to discuss Han's contract in Japan," the official explained. “We will most likely finalize the contract later this month.”
Han is currently in Japan to promote her MBC historical saga "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" with interviews with local media outlets and fan meetings while she will return to Korea this Friday.
Han rose to stardom throughout Korea and Asia after starring as the heroine in "Brilliant Legacy" in 2009 and in the historical TV series "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" the following year. She has also visited several countries in the Asia region promote both productions.
She was recently at the ongoing 16th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) to promote her upcoming movie "Always" alongside actor So Ji-sub.
