A TV special featuring top Korean actor Song Seung-heon’s journey in Vietnam will hit the airwaves next week, according to the broadcaster on Wednesday.
His show "It's City-Song Seung-heon's Vietnam Memories," showing the star cycling around the streets of Ho Chi Minh, will air on cable channel Olive on June 2.
The officials explained that Song's journey will also show how he was in the Southeast Asian city to interact with the citizens, take part in a volunteer work and raise the awareness of the need for more cultural exchange.
"It wasn't easy cycling around the city but quite fun once I got the hang of it. I give props to the actual drivers. It isn't an easy job," Song was quoted as saying.
Song has been one of the hottest male Korean actors since appearing in the popular sitcom "Three Guys and Three Girls" (MBC, 1996).
His popularity rose in the region with his smash hits "Autumn Tale" (KBS2, 2000), "Summer Scent" (KBS2, 2003), "East of Eden" (MBC, 2008) and "My Princess" (MBC, 2011).
Currently, Song is appearing in MBC's TV series "Dr. Jin" (tentative title), alongside actress Park Min-young and JYJ member Kim Jae-joong.
