Chances for new Monday and Tuesday primetime dramas to catch up fast with MBC's "Light and Shadow" looks bleak.

"Light and Shadow" continues to show its power on the Monday and Tuesday ratings chart after posting an average rating of 20.1 percent between June 4 and 5, according to data compiled by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics).

Starring Ahn Jae-wook and Son Dambi, the show has been ruling the chart for months now and it is poised to make a longer run after scoring a double number of the runner-up.

Even the former KBS' and SBS' starrers, "Fashion King" and "Love Rain" -- featuring Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk, Yoo A-in and Girls' Generation's Kwon Yuri and Yoona -- were no match to the shining "Light and Shadow."

Next up on the chart is SBS' "THE CHASER," starring Son Hyun-joo, Kim Sang-joong and Ko Joon-hee, which wrapped up its 3th and 4th episodes after pulling in 11.5 percent of the total viewers this week.

The show, which centers around the story of a man going through a series of tearful events while trying to reveal the truth behind his daughter's death, has also been spotlighted after Japanese actor Otani Ryohei confirmed that he will be joining the show last month.

Closing out the chart, KBS' "Big" which got off to a smooth start with an average rating of 8.4 percent for the first two episodes during the same time frame.

The new series comically draws the story of a school teacher falling in love with a man in his 30s, who turns out to be obtaining the soul of an 18-year-old teenager.

The drama is also one of the most awaited show this year, mostly because of its star-studded cast of Gong Yoo, Lee Min-jung and miss A's Bae Suzy.

Over on the AGB Nielson Media Research chart, the data showed that "Light and Shadow" came first after grabbing 20.8 percent of the total viewers on Monday and Tuesday.

"THE CHASER" and "Big" followed next in order, each with 9.5 and 7.6 of viewership ratings in the same period.
