Kim Jae-won is scheduled to visit Japan later this month for a fan meeting, his agency Khan Enterprise revealed on Monday.

An official with Khan told the magazine in a phone interview that Kim will hold his long-awaited fan meeting in the country on July 14.

"We have yet to finalize where he will hold his meet-and-greet, but it will be just a regular fan meeting. Kim will sing several songs and talk about his current and upcoming activities," the Khan rep explained.

When asked whether the firm has made their decision on Kim returning to the small screen with MBC's 'May Queen' (tentative title), co-starring Han Hye-jin and Jae-hee, the rep said that they are still in the process of working out the details.

For several months, Kim took a temporary break from his acting career after injuring his shoulder during the shooting of "Flower, I Am" (MBC, 2011). He was set to play the male lead but had to step down from the series to fully recover.

His last acting role that actually aired on television was MBC's 30-part series, "Listen To My Heart," opposite Hwang Jung-eum in 2011.

Kim made his debut in 2001 in the SBS sitcom "Honey Honey" and rose to stardom through MBC's romantic drama "Romance," in which he played alongside actress Kim Ha-neul.

He has since starred in other TV series “Rival” (SBS, 2002), “My Darling Patzzi” (MBC, 2002) and “Wonderful Life” (MBC, 2005) and also in the comic romance film, “100 Days With Mr. Arrogant” (2004), with actress Ha Ji-won.
