[News] Chae Rim to Star in New Chinese Drama to Be Aired on CCTV.

Acclaimed Korean actress Chae Rim will resume her Chinese activity with an upcoming drama to be aired on CCTV [China Central Television] next year.

Chae has signed on to play one of the female leads in “The Lee Family” [translated title], her agency Sidus HQ announced in a press release Tuesday.

The 33-year-old actress will take the role of Mrs. Lee, who lost her husband at a young age and leads her family with wisdom and business ability.

“I am little nervous because it’s been quite a while ago since I acted in a Chinese drama for the last time [in 2010]. I will do my best to show good acting to my fans,” Chae revealed her excitement after she determined to star in the drama.

The upcoming Chinese drama will tell a moving story of the Lee family which prioritizes the goodness.

The Korean actress is soon to fly to China and embark on the drama shooting this month.

Meanwhile, Chae recently renewed her exclusive contract with her management agency Sidus HQ, the firm added in the statement.

Chae Rim, whose full name is Park Chae-rim, has appeared in more than a dozen television dramas since her debut in the early 1990s.

Some of her best-known works includes "KAIST" (SBS, 1999), "All About Eve" (MBC, 2000), "Oh! Pil Seung, Bong Soon Young" (KBS2, 2004) and "Oh! My Lady" (SBS, 2010).

She attracted attention from Chinese public by making a special appearance in the Chinese remake of her own hit TV series "All About Eve," which aired on Zhejiang Satellite TV in 2010.
