Korean ballad singer Sung Si-kyung has introduced his music to Japanese music fans.

The K-pop singer held a series of exclusive Japan concerts entitled “One Day” [translated title] at Bunkamura’s Orchard Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on February 8 and 9 as well as at Matsushita IMP Hall in Osaka.

Sung rendered his songs set to the theme of "a love story on one special day" through unplugged sounds of an acoustic guitar and the piano mixed with string instruments such as cello and violin.

The singer with a sweet voice kicked off the Tokyo show with “About Forgotten Things” and performed a series of hit tracks including “Wind, You,” “It Would Be Nice” and “The First” with videos screens showing the Japanese subtitles of his song lyrics.

“I organized this show like a radio drama to carry my songs to your hearts,” Sung said, after singing eight tracks the last of which was “On the Street.”

However, the nighttime radio DJ changed the mood with an up-tempo love song “Oh My Goddess” and made the audience laugh, telling them about fun episodes on his KBS variety show “2 Days 1 Night” and PSY, one of his close friends.

After contributing “Two People” for audience members wishing a boyfriend this year, the 33-year-old singer wrapped up the night’s event by singing “The Road to Me,” his debut song 13 years ago.
