The hit TV series “That Winter, the Wind Blows” has broken into the Gaon singles chart with its two original scores, while Kim Jae-joong marked glorious comeback on Gaon albums chart with the repackaged mini-album “Y.”

The melodrama proved its overwhelming popularity by landing its two original soundtracks at No. 1 and No. 3, namely The One’s “A Winter Story” and Gummy’s “Snow Flower,” during the week of February 24 to March 2, Gaon’s official website showed on Thursday.

The two solo artists’ mature and mesmerizing voices went well with the drama’s sad love story and recorded a double hit, sandwiching top boy band SHINee’s new title song “Dream Girl” on the runner-up spot.

While SISTAR 19, who attained the third trophy on the KBS music show “Music Bank” last week, slid down to No. 4 with its smash hit “Gone Not Around Any Longer,” young musician brother and sister Akdong Musician rounded off the top five with the new self-written tune “Is It Ramyun.”

Other songs which pleased K-pop listeners last week were Huh Gak’s R&B “Monodrama,” rapper Verbal Jint’s witty love song “If It Ain’t Love,” boy group Teen Top’s new title tune “Miss Right,” LeeSSang’s sentimental hip-hop “Tears” and female duo Davichi’s grand ballad “Don’t You Know.”

On the other hand, Hallyu star Kim Jae-joong marked a successful return and sat atop the chart with his new album “Y,” the repackaged version of the first mini-album “I.”

Six-member boy group Teen Top ranked at the second position with the first studio album “No. 1,” while SHINee fell down two spots after topping the chart last week with its first chapter of the third full-length album, “Dream Girl: the misconceptions of you.”
