Synopsis
Natural born fighter Yo Seok (Bae Yong Joon) is constantly under the radar of a gangster organization looking to recruit the youngblood. But instead of falling into temptation, Yo Seok leaves his hometown to pursue his dream of becoming a policeman. While studying night and day for his college entrance exam in the big city of Seoul, Yo Seok rescues a girl named Hye Joon (Ko) who turns out to be the daughter of the city's public prosecutor. The two gradually fall in love with each other but tragedy strikes when Yo Seok finds out about his triad family background. Suddenly the same fate that brought them together, now threatens to tear them apart.

This drama is a Korean version of "Romeo and Julliette." This drama tells a heart-breaking love story between a man of organized criminal family and a woman of prosecutor family.
Bae Yongjune acts as Jahng Yosuk, who gets in the whirl of his fate against his own will. Even he insists his dream of becoming a policeman despite his finding out that his birth father is a big boss of gangsters, he is not as strong as to fight against his fate. Despite his effort to push away Hejune, hiding his affectionate feeling for her, whom he has met by accident through her pet dog, after he finds out that she is a daughter of a prosecutor, trying to convict his father, he is already in deep love with her.
Their love, however, is not easy to come true and they end up separation due to their family’s fateful encounter as a prosecutor and a boss of gangsters. After several years, they meet again and confirm their unchanging love for each other. Through their love, they are able to put an end to many generation of their family’s dispute.
