24 กุมภาพันธ์ 2553 ช่วงกลางวัน ในมินิโฮมเพจของ คิมยูนา นักกีฬาฟิกเกอร์สเก็ตเกาหลีใต้ มีแฟนๆเข้าชมมากกว่า 97,391 คน โดยได้มีข้อความที่แฟนๆเขียนถึงเธอไม่ว่าจะเป็น "ยอนอาต้องลำบากมากเลยสินะ! เธอทำได้ยอดเยี่ยมมาก!" "สุดยอดเท่มาก! สุดยอดคิมยูนา" "คิมยูนาไฟติ้ง! ขอให้ผลฟรีสเก็ตออกมาได้ดีๆด้วยนะ" ต่างส่งข้อความให้กำลังใจอย่างถ้วนหน้า

ในวันนี้ช่วงเวลาบ่ายโมง (เกาหลี) คิมยูนา ได้ร่วมแข่งขันในงานมหกรรมกีฬาโอลิมปิค แวนคูเวอร์ ประเทศแคนาดา ในกีฬาประเทศฟิกเกอร์สเก็ตโปรแกรมสั้นหญิง โดยเธอสามารถทำคะแนนได้ 78.50 (เทคนิค 44.70 องค์ประกอบโปรแกรม 33.80) และยังเป็นสถิติโลกใหม่อีกด้วยเช่นกัน (สถิติโลกเดิม 76.28)

คิมยูนา เปิดเผยกับสำนักข่าว SBS หลังการแข่งขันกล่าว "ฉันรอโอลิมปิคมานานแล้วค่ะ ฉันมีเวลาเตรียมตัวอย่างเต็มที่และก็เตรียมตัวมาอย่างดีค่ะ ฉันไม่รู้สึกตื่นเต้นหรือกดดันในโอลิมปิคครั้งนี้เลยค่ะ" เสริม "ฉันดีใจค่ะที่สิ่งที่ซ้อมมามันได้ถูกนำออกมาใช้ได้เป็นอย่างดี" เธอกล่าวพร้อมหลั่งน้ำตา

อีกทั้ง คิมยูนา ยังพูดถึงการแข่งขันในรายการฟรีสเก็ตหญิงเดี่ยวในวันที่ 26 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ด้วยเช่นกัน เธอกล่าว "มันจะอาจจะกลายเป็นความกดดันของฉันได้ค่ะ แต่ว่าพรุ่งนี้ฉันคงจะมีเวลาในการปรับจิตใจของตัวเองให้กลับไปเป็นเหมือนตอนแรกอีกครั้งก่อนการลงแข่งค่ะ" เสริม "ฉันรู้สึกว่าน่าจะทำได้ดีค่ะ" เธอกล่าว

อนึ่ง ในรายการช็อทโปรแกรมวันนี้ผู้ที่ตามหลังคิมยูนาในอันดับที่ 2 ตกเป็น อาซาดะ มาโอะ (ญี่ปุ่น) ทำไปได้ 73.78 คะแนน และ ROCHETTE Joannie ทำไปได้ 71.3 คะแนน
