สมาคมบาสเกตบอลประเทศญี่ปุ่น ตัดสินใจมอบรางวัลพิเศษให้กับ "ทาเคฮิโกะ อิโนอุเอะ" (Takehiko Inoue) นักเขียนการ์ตูนเจ้าของผลงาน "Slam Dunk" (スラムダンク) ในฐานะผู้มีคุณูประการต่อวงการกีฬาของประเทศ โดยเฉพาะการทำให้กีฬาบาสเกตบอลได้รับความนิยมเพิ่มขึ้น หลังผลงานดังของเขาออกตีพิมพ์ตั้งแต่เมื่อ 20 ปีก่อน

คณะกรรมการบริหารสมาคมบาสเกตบอลแห่งประเทศญี่ปุ่น ได้ออกมาเปิดเผยเมื่อวันพุธที่ 9 มิ.ย. ที่ผ่านมาว่า สมาคมได้ตัดสินใจมอบรางวัลเกียรติยศพิเศษให้กับ ทาเคฮิโกะ อิโนอุเอะ นักเขียนการ์ตูนชื่อดัง เจ้าของผลงานการ์ตูนบาสเกตบอลเรื่อง Slam Dunk โดยรางวัลดังกล่าวถือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ การฉลองวาระครบรอบ 80 ปีของสมาคมด้วย


Slam Dunk ที่เล่าเรื่องการแข่งขันกีฬาในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย มีจุดศูนย์กลางของเรื่องอยู่ที่โรงเรียนมัธยมโชโฮคุ ตีพิมพ์ในนิตยสารการ์ตูนรายสัปดาห์ Shonen Jump ของ สำนักพิมพ์ชูเอฉะ ระหว่างปี 1990 - 1996 เป็นงานที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างสูง ยอดขายของฉบับรวมเล่มทะลุหลัก 100 ล้านฉบับไปแล้ว เฉพาะในการวางขายที่ญี่ปุ่นเท่านั้น

โดยรางวัลดังกล่าวทางสมาคมฯ กล่าวว่าได้มอบให้กับ ทาเคฮิโกะ อิโนอุเอะ ในฐานะผู้มีบทบาทอย่างสูงต่อความนิยมของบาสเกตบอลในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างชัดเจน หลังผลงานของเขาเริ่มเผยแพร่ตั้งแต่ปี 1990

นอกจากนั้นเมื่อปี 2007 ที่ผ่านมา อิโนอุเอะ และสำนักพิมพ์ชูเอฉะยังร่วมกันก่อตั้ง กองทุนการศึกษา Slam Dunk ที่มอบให้กับนักกีฬาบาสเกตบอลผู้มีความโดดเด่นในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย เพื่อการศึกษาต่อในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และเตรียมความพร้อม รวมถึงหาโอกาสในการก้าวสู่การเล่นบาสเกตบอลในระดับที่สูงขึ้นไปทั้ง NCAA และ NBA

อิโนอุเอะ กล่าวถึงเรื่องนี้ในการให้สัมภาษณ์กับสื่อของต่างชาติว่า "ผมเป็นแฟนของกีฬาบาสเกตบอลครับ และเป็นแฟนของทีมชาติญี่ปุ่นด้วย ผมอยากให้เด็กๆ ที่เล่นบาส สามารถมองเห็นเป้าหมายสูงสุด กับการเล่นบาสเกตบอลในระดับโลกได้ นอกจากนั้นแล้วผมเองที่ประสบความสำเร็จในอาชีพนักเขียนการ์ตูนด้วยบาสเกตบอล ก็อยากจะตอบแทนอะไรให้กับกีฬาชนิดนี้บ้าง"

หลังจาก Slam Dunk จบลงแล้ว อิโนอุเอะ ยังสร้างสรรค์ผลงานว่าด้วยบาสเกตบอลขึ้นมาอีกเรื่อง แต่เป็นการ์ตูนที่ว่าด้วยวีลแชร์บาสเกตบอล ที่มีชื่อว่า Real ซึ่งสามารถคว้ารางวัลการ์ตูนยอดเยี่ยม ในงานเทศกาลสื่อศิลปะของประเทศญี่ปุ่น เมื่อปี 2001 มาแล้ว และยังคงตีพิมพ์ต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน



การ์ตูนเรื่อง "Slam Dunk" ใต้หวันนำไปเป็นโครงสร้างในละครเรื่อง "My MVP Valentine / สแลมดั๊งทั้งใจชู้ตให้เธอ" เมื่อปี 2002 มีทั้งหมด 28 ตอน เนื้อเรื่องเกี่ยวกับ "ต้วนเฉินฟง" เป็นนักกีฬาบาสเก็ตบอลของโรงเรียนมัธยมแห่งหนึ่ง กำลังจะรีบไปสนามแข่งขัน เพื่อชิงแชมป์ให้โรงเรียนของเขา แต่เกิดอุบัติเหตุขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ไปชนถูก "แองเจิ้ล" เข้าจนเธอได้รับบาดเจ็บสาหัส ซึ่ง "แองเจิ้ล" เป็นน้องสาวของ "ไอซ์ แมน" คู่แข่งคนสำคัญของต้วนเฉินฟง พอรู้ว่าน้องสาวถูกรถชน ไอซ์ แมนก็หมดกำลังใจเล่น ปล่อยให้ตำแหน่งแชมป์เป็นของต้วนเฉินฟง แต่เขาก็ต้องแลกกับภาระอันหนักหน่วงในการรักผิดชอบต่อแองเจิ้ล เพราะเธอพิการขาเดินไม่ได้ซ้ำยังหลงรักต้วนเฉินฟงเข้าอีกทำให้ "เสี่ยวซี" แฟนของต้วนเฉินฟงไม่พอใจทำให้ต้วนเฉินฟงต้องรับศึกหนักหลายด้านทั้งเรื่องเรียน การแข่งขันและเรื่องรัก แสดงให้เห็นถึงการต่อสู้และแก้ปัญหาของเด็กรุ่นใหม่ที่ไม่ต้องพึ่งผู้ใหญ่ให้ช่วยตัดสินใจ แต่ละคนกล้าทำกล้ารับ เพราะความเป็นนักกีฬาสอนให้พวกเขามีสปิริตนั่นเอง




[News] Japan Basketball Association Awards Slam Dunk's Takehiko Inoue.

The Japan Basketball Association's board of directors revealed during its Wednesday meeting that it is awarding Slam Dunk manga creator Takehiko Inoue with a special commendation. The award is part of the association's 80th anniversary celebration.
The special commendation recognizes Inoue's contribution to the growing popularity of the basketball in Japan, as well as the Slam Dunk Scholarship that he established in collaboration with his publisher Shueisha. Since 2007, the scholarship has been sending Japan's top high school players to study abroad in America, where they study English and prepare to possibly play basketball in America's National Collegiate Athletic Association.
In addition to the high school basketball manga Slam Dunk, Inoue also created the wheelchair basketball manga REAL and the samurai manga Vagabond. Viz publishes these titles in North America.

In this drama based on basketball (and somewhat on the anime Slam Dunk), a Taiwanese national team basketballer, Yan Xing Shu plays the lead Duan Chen Feng, whose world consists of his 2 greatest loves: basketball and his girlfriend, Xiao Xi (Angela Zhang). They find their perfect world shattered, however, when on the day of his most important match, Duan Chen Feng has an accident on his way to the competition, and paralyses Angel (Margaret Lin), who just happens to be the sister of Iceman (David Chen), his biggest opponent since they were young. To shoulder his responsibilty, Chen Feng leaves school and his basketball so that he can take care of Angel. Xiaoxi, who does not know the reason behind Chen Feng's leaving school and giving up his beloved basketball, is heartbroken and bewildered. At about the same time, the other lead male character Tai Zi, or Prince (Tony Sun of 5566), enters the plot. He falls in love with Xiao Xi's plucky and determined character.chen feng's gentleness to angel causes angel to have feelings for him....how complicated can this love triangle be?
