Won Bin does charity work in East Timor

Actor Won Bin recently participated in charity work with the children of East Timor.
Won Bin acted as the special representative of UNICEF on September 12th through the 17th in East Timor. He watched over the vaccinations and educational work being done on site by UNICEF.
Won Bin stayed in Emera, a poverty stricken mountain village, in order to visit the children. He personally gave each child polio vaccinations along with feeding them vitamin A capsules. Won Bin also made a donation with his fans.
Upon coming across a 1 year old baby girl suffering from pneumonia and malnutrition, Won Bin personally took her to the health center to get her treated since it was too far from her home. After watching over the procedures, he commented, “The child keeps crying, it’s making me worry. I hope that she receives good treatment and gets better soon. I ask for you to please send her your love.”
Won Bin spent the rest of his time with a seven year old girl named Elli who lost her mother and is currently living at a relatives with her younger sibling. He spent a meaningful time with her by consoling her and drawing together.
Won Bin’s stay in East Timor will be created into a UNICEF public service ad and will broadcast on cable TV channels starting from the 20th.
In 2007, Won Bin was appointed the special representative of UNICEF and aggressively worked under UNICEF by advertising the organization and donating towards causes. In 2009, he visited Zambia.
