Kissing Signals Romance in 'Marry Me, Mary'

KBS Global [2010-11-19]

A protagonist has had a change of heart and become determined to win the heart of a woman with whom he has a marriage-under-contract deal for 100 days because his rich father tries to force him to marry her in the KBS2 drama “Marry Me, Mary.”

In the November 16 episode, Wie Mary (Moon Geun-young) is invited by Jung Seok to visit him with his son Jung In (Kim Jae-wook). While Jung-in is away to take care of some urgent business, Mary has a good time with Jung Seok, playing games and chatting about her parents who are family friends of his.

Later Mary goes to Jung In’s room and finds a picture of him and her as little children inserted in a book. The picture shows him carrying her and has a note saying, “I will be with you.”

She asks Jung In about the picture, but Jung In apparently has no memory of the picture. Mary asks him how he could not know about it at all when he, being eight at that time, should have been old enough to remember it. He says, “I don’t remember anything that had happened until I was eight, because I don’t want to.”

The two go out to walk in the yard, and Mary falls down and hurts her foot. Jung In carries her to a room and treats her. In addition, he vows that he will make her end up loving him when their 100-day contract ends and stops her from calling Kang Mu-gyul (Jang Keun-suk) -- an underground singer with whom Mary has another deal to pretend to be a couple to avoid marrying Jung In -- saying, “Don’t call him. From now on, he is my rival.” And he kisses her on the forehead.

“Marry Me, Mary” airs every Monday and Tuesday on KBS2 at 9:55 p.m.
