It seems that “Yonsama” Bae Yong Joon won’t be back to Kirin Art School.

He took the role of the chairman of the board of Kirin Art School, Jeong Ha Myung, in KBS 2’s Mon-Tue drama “Dream High” and appeared until the 4th episode. He was expected to reappear in the later part of drama, but his comeback fell through. He was hospitalized for two weeks last month because of recurring issues with a ruptured cervical disc, which he got during the filming of “TWSSG” in 2007. He is still receiving treatment as an out-patient.

Bae Yong Joon participated in the production of the drama for the first time. He is devotedly attached to the drama, making appearances and filming even with all of the pain. He regrets more than anyone else because he can’t help and be a part of them any more.

He didn’t appear in the drama after 4th episode, and the viewers continuously have requested for his re-appearance. There were especially many requests from his Japanese fans because it was the first time he had appeared in a modern drama since the movie "April Snow," six years ago.

Someone related to Bae Yong Joon’s agency stated, “There were many possibilities for him to appear in the drama because the role and appearing time weren’t stated in the contract. But he needs to rest unconditionally. He, including the production team, has a lot of regret. With the four episodes, the story about Jeong Ha Myung has been taken care of and there aren’t any problems in the script.”
