On March 18th, JYP Entertainment announced that they will be donating $300,000 USD towards relief efforts in Japan through the Korean National Red Cross.
Representatives of JYP Entertainment stated, “Our employees and artists will be praying for the safety of the citizens of Japan. 2PM, 2AM, and our other artists will be bringing together their hearts in order to donate $300,000 USD through the Korean National Red Cross.”
They continued, “Our employees and artists will be supporting the people of Japan so that they do not lose hope and find the strength to overcome and recover.”
In summary, the three biggest companies of the industry, SM Entertainment (1 million USD), YG Entertainment ($500,000 USD), and JYP Entertainment, have donated a total of $1.8 million USD together in the past few days to aid Japan’s recovery.
