New releases by K-pop 2PM and After School have placed within the top ten slots of Japan's prestigious Oricon weekly chart.
According to Oricon's official website, 2PM's second Japanese single "I'm your man," took fourth place on the chart for the week of August 29, after selling close to 70,000 copies.
Released on August 16, 2PM had sold over 37,910 units of the album on the first day it went on sale to place at No.3 on Oricon's daily chart the following day.
In the meantime, After School's debut single "Bang!" entered the chart at seventh place after selling some 23,760 units.
The record, which hit the stores on the same day as 2PM's new release, had been sixth on the daily chart a day after its release.
2PM is one of the most popular boy bands in Korea and several other countries in Asia since their debut in 2008 which officially expanded their singing careers into Japan last November.
After School, who are pursuing their singing career in Japan with major Japanese record company AVEX, has been one of the most well-recognized girl groups in Korea since their debut in 2009.
