SM Entertainment is looking into becoming one of the producers to the new season of musical TV series "Dream High" which is set to go on air next year.

An official with KEYEAST, which with JYP Entertainment was the producer to the first season, told 10Asia over the phone on Wednesday, "We are discussing positively on the prospect of producing the series with SM."

However, they have yet to decide on the details, including the casting and the content of the show, the official added.

If SM becomes a producer, it is likely that the members of Super Junior, Girls' Generation or SHINee may be part of the cast for the upcoming season, just like JYP's Taecyeon and Suzy were the main cast of the first season.

The original series, a 16-part drama which told of the dreams of students attending a performing arts school, just wrapped up its run on Japan's public broadcasting channel TBS.

Several members of the cast will visit Japan for the DVD release event of the show titled "Dream High Premium Event 2011" to be held at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on September 4 while the DVD will go on sale on September 28.
