KBS TV series "Spy Myung-Wol" has hit a hurdle with its female lead Han Ye-seul having failed to take part in the show's filming since Sunday.

Han, 29, did not turn up on the show's set without prior notice nor an explanation and this led to yesterday's episode of the Monday and Tuesday primetime drama to be replaced with a special.

She is said to have been in conflict with the producer of "Spy Myung-Wol" over her unreasonable filming schedule for it and some reports said she left for the U.S. yesterday afternoon, where she was born and raised, although her arrival in the country has yet to be confirmed.

Neither Han nor her agency have been available for comment since while the show's broadcaster KBS has yet to state their official position on the actress.

However, KBS apologized for the problem while expressing their dissatisfaction over Han's actions, saying that she has failed to fulfill her duties as a public figure by bringing about problems to the drama when she was fully aware of the consequences.

"This is not an uncontrollable situation, such as a natural disaster or unexpected accident," KBS emphasized while asking Han not to intensify the situation any further.

In the meantime, KBS notified through their official website on Tuesday morning that the show will go on air regularly starting today with producers having said they will continue shooting the show with the rest of its cast.

If Han does not return to "Spy Myung-Wol" and has left for the U.S., it is expected to affect the rest of her full-fledged career -- she is endorsing several products, has a movie set for release in the latter half of this year and has time left on her contract with Sidus HQ.

Her actions has also disappointed the Korean public since she had been one of Korea's most sought out and loved actresses after debuting as a supermodel in 2001 and becoming a household name after starring in MBC's popular sitcom "Nonstop 4 (2003).”
