Rain and his agency have denied a date has been set for the singer-actor's military entrance, downplaying a report from earlier in the day which stated that the date is October 11.

An official at J.Tune told 10Asia over the phone on Friday, "He may enter the military in October but he hasn't received a draft notice yet so the date hasn't been set."

The report also said that Rain will announce this news at a press conference to be held ahead of his concert in Seoul on September 24 but the official denied this as well.

It had originally been expected that Rain would reveal his plans to release a new album with singer-producer Park Jin-young.

Rain himself dismissed the report through a message on his Twitter account on Friday as well. "There's nothing to brag about entering the military. So a press conference for it? Another false report. I'll tell you properly once an exact date has been set."

He then added, "The press conference won't be about entering the military but I have a big project coming up, my last ahead of entering the military, so I'll be announcing that there."

The Asian pop sensation who has been touring Korea for over a month starting mid-August, will wrap up the shows in Seoul next weekend.

He also recently finished filming his action movie "Take Off: Closer to the Sun" which is a remake of the 1964 Korean movie "Red Muffler," also star actress Shin Se-gyeong.
