On December 13, Culture Minister Choe Kwang-shik visited the Hyangwonjeong Pavilion inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, where the final episode of the TV drama series "Deep-rooted Tree" was being shot on location, and encouraged the staff members and actors.
Based on the novel of the same name by Lee Jung-myeong, "Deep-rooted Tree" is a historical fiction on the era of King Sejong -- one of the most eulogized kings in Korean history -- and a mystery revolving around his invention and proclamation of the modern Korean writing system, Hunminjeongeum or Hangul.
