On December 21, Ryu Siwon set a new milestone in Japan with his 100th live concert of “Ryu Siwon Live TOUR 2011 ☆NEGAI☆.” With more than 25,000 fans in attendance, the star singer/actor kept the monumental event last for over five hours.
Until last year, Ryu Siwon had a total of 84 live concerts, with more than 500,000 tickets sold. He started his Japanese concert tour on December 4, visiting Yokohama, Niigata, Osaka, Sendai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, before the concerts in Saitama on December 20 and 21.
“I always wanted to be recognized as a singer and through concerts,” Ryu Siwon said. “I wasn’t able to realize that dream in Korea but I achieved it in Japan. And finally after eight years in Japan, I had my 100th concert.”
He continued, “It was only possible through the continued support of my fans over the last eight years. I’ll continue to work hard to come up with better music and concerts.”
Since his Japanese debut in 2004, Ryu Siwon has released 22 total albums and held live concerts every year from 2005.
