A Korean historical film starring actor Ju Ji-hoon as a king has cranked up last week, according to the pic's production company.

Lotte Entertainment announced in a statement on Wednesday that the movie, the title which translates to "I am the King," wrapped up three months of filming in the Northern Province of Korea last Thursday and has gone into post production.

The firm explained that cast and crew celebrated the final late night shoot with a party, where director Jang Kyu-sang thanked and hugged all the staff members for their hard work.

In "King," which is helmed by director Jang, Ju plays a dual role in the story that revolves around King Sejong (Ju) who is disguised as a beggar by switching his place with a poor man (also played by Ju).

The film also stars Kim Suro, Kim So-hyun and Honey Lee, is slated to open in local theaters this summer.
