It seems like there will be a boycott on the production company which has been caught up in a controversy over T-ara Eunjung’s withdrawal from one of its TV series.
A representative of the Corea Entertainment Management Association told in a phone interview with Starnews on November 16, “Today, we sent out an official document to all member agencies of the association asking for cooperation about the issue of Yein E&M’s unilateral breach of contract with Eunjungs’ appearance in Five Fingers.”
The personnel gave a further explanation about the boycott, “Twice, we have sent official document to the production company to take follow-up measures about the cancellation. However, they’ve never made an action or apologized about breaching the contract. How can someone work with such a company?”
The association also requested through the official paper, “If Yein E&M is to produce any kind of video content, the cast has to be confirmed by the Corea Entertainment Management Association. It will be so for the next two years (until December 2014).”
Previously, Eunjung attended at the press conference of SBS’s drama series Five Fingers only to be withdrawn from the cast a day before the shooting. Since then, her agency and production company have built a conflict.
By the end of August, the singer’s agency filed a lawsuit against Yein E&M to pay the cancellation charge worth 1.4 million won.
