The Cha Tae Hyun and Uee couple will be coming to the small screen.

On November 14, the two actors appeared at the press conference for KBS2′s upcoming drama Woochi with fellow actors Lee Hee Jun and Baek Jin Hee.

During the photo session held before the interview, Cha Tae Hyun showed he was completely immersed in his Jeon Woochi character, posing as if he was shooting bursts of energy from his hands. Uee followed suit, putting on a warrior pose that was like a dance and drawing laughter from the audience.

The actors′ friendly antics showed the drama was set for success.

 Woochi is about how Jeon Woochi, student of Hong Gil Dong, fights against Ma Sook (Kim Gap Soo) and Gang Lim (Lee Hee Jun) to protect Hong Gil Dong′s country Yuldo. Jeon Woochi acts like a lazy nobody in everyday life, but whenever he has to fight he transforms into the magician Jeon Woochi. He even puts his life on the line when Hong Mu Yeon (Uee), granddaughter of Hong Gil Dong and Jeon Woochi′s fiance, falls under a spell and starts to attack him.

Cha Tae Hyun said the role wasn′t too hard because it wasn′t that different from the role he played for the film Gone With the Wind, but still he did hit a few difficulties.

He said, "At first it was hard because I had to shoot things out of my hands and chant spells, but now I don′t make much of it. I just think of the manga Dragon Ball and its Energy Blast."

He then added, "My six year old son went into a state of panic after watching the preview the day before yesterday. He chants spells and tries to shoot things at me whenever he sees me. I′m worried children on the street will start to ask me to show off my spells."

"I hope the piece becomes a big success, and branches out into Woochi trading cards or collectibles," he hoped. "It′s the first time I′ve pretended to shoot stuff out of my hands, and I learned I have to be shameless. I have to be serious, and really think energy is coming out of my hands. I thought when I first read the script that if I don′t become brazen, nothing will hold."

Cha Tae Hyun is currently active as a member of the KBS2 1 Night, 2 Days crew. Coincidentally, fellow member Uhm Tae Woong previously appeared this year in the KBS2 drama The Equator Man, and Ju Won also scored a success with Bridal Mask.

When asked to compare Jeon Woochi with Ju Won′s Bridal Mask, Cha Tae Hyun answered, "Jeon Woochi is like Superman, so you can′t compare him to Bridal Mask. Ability-wise, this is how it is, but since Bridal Mask is ′the Nation′s hero′, I have to be careful around him."

Woochi will air its first episode on November 21.
