KBS weekend drama “Seo-young, My Daughter” has kept its No. 1 status on the weekly ratings chart for the eight consecutive weeks.
The Park Hae-jin and Lee Bo-young starrer grabbed the top seed with 32.9 percent rating during the week of November 26 to December 2, according to data compiled by TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] Monday.
The family drama has garnered much attention from the public with its delicate portrayal of a father-daughter relationship. Next up in the rankings is the daily series from KBS, “Cheer Up, Mr Kim!,” which earned the support of 28.4 percent of the total viewers.
MBC’s weekend TV series “May Queen” and KBS comedy program “Gag Concert” each landed at the No. 3 and No. 4 spot after scoring 24.3 and 22.4 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, “KBS 9 o’clock News” rounded off the top five last week with 21 percent.
Other popular TV programs are SBS daily series “Still You,” Monday and Tuesday primetime drama from MBC, “The King’s Doctor,” SBS variety show “I Like Sundays,” comedy program on MBC, “Infinite Challenge” and KBS show program “Happy Sunday.”
In the meantime, AGB Nielson Multimedia Research showed the same order of the programs but different figures compared to those of TNmS during the same time frame.
While “Seo-young” dominated the chart with 29.5 percent of the viewers, “Cheer Up” and “May Queen” each followed next with 24.9 and 23.1 percent.
