The MBC series “The King’s Doctor” has succeeded in topping the Monday and Tuesday ratings chart for the 18th week.

The seemingly invincible series once again grabbed the crown on the chart after posting an averag e of 20.1 percent ratings during the week of February 11 and 12, TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] showed Wednesday.

The medical period drama is attracting more and more viewers after it reached the mid-phrase, similar to other epic series created by the veteran producer Lee Byung-hoon, such as “Jewel in the Palace” and “Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown.”

With a far narrower gap between No. 1 compared to last week, the SBS series “Queen of Ambition” landed at the second spot with an average of 18.2 percent ratings.

The Kwone Sang-woo and Soo Ae starrer proved its overwhelming popularity by grabbing its first ratings crown on the Wednesday primetime slot, edging out “The King’s Doctor” by 0.6 percent.

Sitting at the bottom of the chart is the new KBS drama “Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek,” which raked in a disappointing 5.1 percent of total viewers.

In the meantime, Nielsen Korea rated the three dramas in the same order with different numbers from TNmS’ during the second week of February.

While “The King’s Doctor” nabbed the top seed with 19.3 percent, “Queen of Ambition” and “AD Genius” filled the following two spots with 16.3 and 4.4 percent, respectively.
