star Park Yuchun is to appear on a Chinese TV show celebrating the day
of the first full moon of the year according the lunar calendar.
The “Rooftop Prince” star has been invited to the Hunan TV special show “One Measure Live Show” [translated title], officials from his agency C-Jes Entertainment said on February 15.
“Park’s popularity is high in China due to the hit TV series ‘Rooftop Prince’ and ‘Missing You,`” said an official from the popular channel. “We’re going to arrange a chartered plane for him because of Park’s tight schedule.”
Park is the only Korean celebrity invited to the show, helmed by producers of the country’s top variety show “Happy Camp,” C-Jes official explained.
“Rooftop Prince,” a timeslip romcom starring Park and actress Han Ji-min, recorded over 700 million hits in the country including 100 million played in Youku, a major video sharing website there.
Pakr’s latest TV series “Missing You” has also outnumbered 100 million views on PPTV, the country’s biggest video service website PPTV, as well as in Sohu TV, the Chinese portal website Sohu dotcom’s Internet broadcasting service.
