K-pop group 2PM is revving up to drop their much awaited album in May, marking their comeback to the local music scene after a hiatus of two years.
The six-member boy band’s agency JYP Entertainment confirmed the news and said the comeback trailer is to be made availalbe on-and-offline on March 25 at 2 p.m. Korea Time.
Raising the bar of the new record, the video clip will be played on Korean portal website Naver, 2PM’s official YouTube channel, and at the Korean movie theater chain Megabox as well as New York’s Times Square and London’s Picadilly Circus.
“The new album will be the biggest project from 2PM since they have had a long period of relaxation from the hiatus of the last two years in the local music scene,” said officials from JYP, “we appreciate your interest and support for their comeback trailer, which will mark their first step for the big picture.”
2PM’s last release in Korea was the second studio album “Hands Up,” rolled out on June of 2011. After promoting the hit party number of the same name, the group focused on their activities in Japan with three singles and two studio albums.
