The SBS series “Queen of Ambition” has closed its curtains on the top of the Monday and Tuesday ratings chart.

The 24-episode drama aired its final two episodes and grabbed an average viewership of 25 percent during the week of April 1 and 2, TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] showed on Wednesday.

With a strong support from female viewers in their thirties to fifties, the TV series could end its absurd revenge story breaking its highest ratings.

The follow-up to the popular series is Kim Tae-hee and Yu A-in’s fusion costume drama “Jang Ok-jung, Live for Love,” set to tell its recreated life and love story of a historic femme fatal Jang Hee-bin from April 8.

Next up on the chart is the new KBS series “The Queen of Office,” which kicked off its first two episodes with an average of 9.4 percent of viewers.

Before airing its new period-set fantasy “The Gu Family Book” [translated title] from April 8, MBC chose to fill the empty primetime slots with alternatives.

While Monday’s “2013 Spring Drama Big 3 Special,” an introductory to the channel’s three new dramas, pulled in 3.4 percent ratings, Tuesday’s movie “Love Fiction” nabbed 2.9 percent of viewers.

Meanwhile, Nielsen Korea showed the three programs in the same order and similar figures from those of TNmS’ during the first week of April.

“Queen of Ambition” continued to thrive with 24.1 percent ratings, while “The Queen” and MBC’s two temporary programs following next with 8.4 and 3.2 percent, respectively.
