"Princess, would you like to go with me?"

In a recent set of stunning holiday-themed CF photos released by bakery brand "Tous les Jours," that quote seems to be the exact words sweetly whispered by actor Won Bin as he prepares to escape with you into a winter wonderland.

For his latest CF as the exclusive model for the brand, Won Bin has transformed into a romantic prince ready to melt the hearts of women everywhere. Dressed crisply in a checkered bow tie and clean cut suit, he's seen presenting his lover with a cake that can only make any first snow fall sweeter than ever.

Filming took place over the course of two days at an English town in Paju during the late night.

"He had to film while relocating to places located far away from each other. Each scene also took a long time to prepare, but he didn't let that get to him. Once he arrived, he'd check the scene out and such; his professionalism truly impressed us all," an official from the production crew revealed.

Continuing, he added, "Although he was quite shy to say the quote, 'Princess, would you like to go with me?' but he was able to pull it off perfectly, so much so that every female staff on set were willing to follow him anywhere he asked."

After his military discharge, actor Joo Ji Hoonspoke his mind about the drug scandal that occured three years ago. He said, "My smile is not really a smile right now." Joo Ji Hoon, who was discharged on November 21, will be having his comeback as an actor through the musical, "Doctor Zhivago," which will open on January 27.

A press conference was held for "Doctor Zhivago" on November 30 and Joo Ji Hoon brightly greeted everyone. However, as soon as questions about the drug scandal arose, he said, "I think I have an eternal debt to those around me. My smile is not really a smile right now. Please understand the nature of my occupation as I always have to seem bright and comfortable even if I'm not."

He continued, "A time that's neither long nor short has passed. But I always think about what happened. I'm filled with an apologetic and sorrowful heart but in the end, I concluded that I should just work hard and become a better actor. It might sound selfish but if I want to right my wrongs, I think I should do it in a way that I do best. Not only for this upcoming musical, but for any other work, I will try harder than when I first debuted - I will give it my all and try my best."

Joo Ji Hoon also received the inevitable question for recently discharged celebrities: which girl group was his favorite during his service?

To that he jokingly answered, "What finger wouldn't hurt if I bit all ten of them," meaning, that he pretty much liked all of them. He also stated, "I don't know many girl groups in the military, but it seems that Brown Eyed Girls strike me the best." He continued, "Out of the recent songs, I really like songs by Brown Eyed Girls. The members are a similar age to me and most girl groups these days are too young for me to make a tactless comment."

He also shared his feelings on picking a musical as his first comeback project. "I started with the musical, 'Don Juan.' But when I was performing for 'Don Juan,' I really didn't have much interest in musicals. Back then, I watched a lot of movies and did a lot of research on how to act according to different genres. But when I came across this opportunity, singing and performing live on stage had great appeal and charm to me. Filming dramas or movies are equally as hard but I felt a great attraction to the fact that I can focus solely on rehearsing for this musical."

Joo Ji Hoon received great love for his performance in "Princess Hours," not only in Korea but in Japan, China and other countries as well, marking him a Hallyu star. He will be taking the lead role in "Doctor Zhivago," (This musical is based on the novel by Russian author Boris Pasternak) along with others such as Hong Kwang Ho, Kim Ji Woo and more.

[Photo & News] Ji Jin-hee & Gu Hye-sun for 'Take Care of Us, Captain'.

[Photo & News] Ji Jin-hee & Gu Hye-sun for 'Take Care of Us, Captain'.
Cr. - dramabeans

It’s Ji Jin-hee‘s turn for stills for SBS’s upcoming Take Care of Us, Captain, in which he plays said captain. More specifically, he’s the talented pilot of a passenger airline who gets saddled with a new co-pilot (also love interest), played by Gu Hye-sun (The Musical).

Rounding out that love triangle is Lee Chun-hee (Gloria), who works in the air traffic control tower. That love triangle gets rounded out again (oy, mixed metaphors — can a triangle get rounded? what if there are two of ‘em?) — should I call it Star of David-ed? — with Yoo Sun (Sons of Sol Pharmacy) playing a member of the flight crew who challenges Gu for the pilot man’s affections. And ostensibly loses, since she ain’t got top billing.

If we’re judging by the graduation stills below, Gu’s character is fresh outta flight school (the “redbaron airline academy of sanfrancisco,” if we’re to go by her diploma and not, say, an understanding of the English language). That gives her part of the love triangle a generational gap, with Yoo Sun closer to her mother’s generation. Or at least big unni.

(When Yoo Sun was a rookie, she was partly responsible for a woman’s in-flight death and her infant contracting blood poisoning. She then helps the daughter, Gu Hye-sun, become a pilot. Previous descriptions made it seem Gu was that infant, but later news revealed that Gu has a younger sister, so Yoo Sun is not in fact playing a dozen years older than her age.)

Ji Jin-hee last showed a lighter side playing the king in sageuk drama Dong Yi, but his character here will be more in the mold of the uptight, cold professional; he’s got a poker face that belies a warmer underbelly, but it’ll take a while for someone to see his softer side. I hope we see it sooner than later, since he can be pretty adorable playing the eccentric (The Man Who Can’t Marry), which I much prefer to the same ol’ cold dude that we see in every drama ever.

The drama began filming with location shoots in Australia, which is where the photo-shoot stills come from. Ji briefly plays the role of photographer as he snaps wedding photos for a couple at the Harbor Bridge. (They’re employees at the flight academy, so ostensibly his character is doing this as a favor for colleagues.)

The drama began its shoots on October 31 and plans for a January 4 premiere.

He continued, "I can count the number of times I met women. I had someone I had been seeing for 6 years". When he was asked how he got over her, he sang the song, "Love Forgotten by Another Love".

He said, "I spend time cooking at home. I can make raw fish, lacquer chicken and shabu shabu". About 20 years later he said, "If I've had enough, then I would like to put it all down and spend life as the head of a family".

[News] Joo Sang-wook & Lee Sang-woo in new drama.

[News] Joo Sang-wook & Lee Sang-woo in new drama.
Cr. - dramabeans

Lee Sang-woo is currently rocking my socks off as the bestest oppa ever in Thousand Day Promise, so I’m excited that he’s already got another project lined up. It’s a cooking drama called Feast of the Gods, set for weekend broadcast in January. He’ll be joining Joo Sang-wook (Giant), who’s currently starring in cable network OCN’s detective series TEN. Well that’s a lot of pretty to share a screen.

They’re also joined by Seo Hyun-jin from The Duo and Gu Hye-sun’s Magic, while the main role, that of leading lady and chef, is yet to be cast. The name in contention for the lead is Sung Yuri, but there have been rumors and denials left and right, so we’ll have to wait and see on that.

The drama is about two female chefs who battle in the kitchen and at love. Lee Sang-woo plays the heir to a large food corporation (of course), but the company is run by his mother, and their relationship is strained. In order to win the girl of his dreams, he takes odd jobs in the kitchen as the low man on the food chain, and eventually becomes a successful businessman.

The theme of the drama is East vs. West cuisine, which sounds like great fun. Mostly these dramas are all about the flashy mouth-watering food porn, so I’m sure they’ll do a good job with that. There’s very little information on Joo Sang-wook’s character, which is strange, given that I would normally assume that he’s the higher-billed star. If the women are the chefs, maybe he’s another member of the kitchen staff, or perhaps the restauranteur.

Behind the scenes are PD Lee Dong-yoon of Best Love and writer Jo Eun-jung (Goldfish, White Lies). Feast of the Gods premieres in January on MBC.

Lee Seung Gi first debuted in 2004 with his first album's title song, "Because You're My Woman." The song was an instant success. So who knew that he felt this way?

"The album that I prepared in 2006, 'Crazy For U' contained a lot of my desperation and sadness. I thought, 'Can I really do well?' and I felt lacking in many ways." He continued on with, "The time during my 1st album to my 2nd album was the most worrisome part of my life. I worried a lot, Lee Seung Gi as a human. I often thought, should I not be a celebrity? Afterwards, I just wanted to run away and hide. I really contemplated about it a lot," Lee said during an interview with Mnet's "MIC."

"Also, there's a jinx called the sophomore jinx, as in, the bigger the first hit is, the less successful the second one will be. But I had no room to even think about those jinxes. I was scrutinized a lot for my lack of singing skills," he stated as he revealed his inner self past the colorful and cheerful face of his.

He also continued the interview, answering the big question. "I'm really lonely without Kang Ho Dong. I miss him a lot. People tell me that I'm doing well and the show is going fine, but I just can't be smiling..."

After Kang Ho Dong left SBS "Strong Heart," Lee had been maintaining the song by himself. Lee said, "'Kang Shim Jang (Strong Heart in Korean) is our teacher and our mentor. We started this together with Kang Ho Dong. When I had to MC without him, I really felt that it was a life or death battle. That was the first time I had ever done something with the resolve to die. I clenched my teeth and went on."

Even when he was told he was doing perfectly fine without Kang Ho Dong, he confessed, "Of course, it's a good thing that people are accepting it, but without him, I'm really lonely. I just can't be smiling and feeling well. I feel alone and I really miss him sometimes. I just can't laugh it off, you know?"

2PM‘s Nichkhun came in at first place, earning 32% of all votes. Along with his good looks and athletic body, Nichkhun showed a sweet and considerate side of himself on MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, which helped him come out on top for this particular survey.

Trailing behind Nichkhun were Jang Geun Suk (338 votes, 28%), Lee Minho (104 votes, 9%), Hyun Bin (60 votes, 5%), So Ji Sub (60 votes, 5%), Gary (52 votes, 4%), Yoo Jae Suk (35 votes, 3%), Lee Soo Geun (17 votes, 1%), Park Haeil (9 votes, 1%), and other (69 votes, 6%).

The travel authorities remarked, “We can see that aside from good looks, travelers also value humor in a travel partner. They want someone who they can have a good time with. This is evident in the choices of celebrities like Yoo Jae Suk, Gary and Lee Soo Geun“.

In other news, the public voted ‘Hokkaido’ in Japan as the destination they would most like to travel to this Christmas season.

Behind Hokkaido were Paris (438 votes, 29.2%), Guam (236 votes, 15.7%), Hong Kong (166 votes, 11%), and Hawaii (102 votes, 6.8%). The results were interesting, as some travelers wanted to fly to destinations where they could fully experience the spirit of the Christmas season, while others wanted to travel somewhere with a beautiful view, and some just wanted to travel to a location where they could escape the cold winter weather.

Kim Jae Won, who is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder, is planning to visit his colleagues in “Me Too, Flower.” Local news agencies report that the actor, who sustained his injury while shooting for a scene in the drama, is quickly recovering.

Kim Jae Won dislocated his shoulder in October, in the course of filming for the series. His injury had been grave enough for him to withdraw from the drama and prompted the drama producers to immediately cast Yoon Si Yoon to take over the lead role he departed.

Kim Jae Won sent his gratitude to fans through a statement from his management. “Thanks to the fans and their concern, he is getting better quickly. He is now able to lift his arm halfway and should be completely fine by early next year,” his agency said. Among gifts from fans are cutely designed arm slings and vitamins.

Kim Bum, most known for playing the Casanova So Yi Jung of the F4 in 2009’s highly popular “Boys Over Flowers” will finally come back on the small screen. The actor co-stars with Jung Woo Sung and Han Ji Min in the upcoming “Padam Padam.”

“I lost 11 kg and worked out to prepare for the drama,” Kim Bum said at the drama’s press conference held in Seoul on November 30. “It’s because the guardian angel Lee Kook Soo role I’m playing requires me to bare my body a lot. Lee Kook Soo sleeps without a top on since he believes that’s when he grows his wings.”

The actor said he dieted on potatoes and bananas, combining it with aerobic exercise and training to achieve his current physical state. He also revealed that since it was a unique role, he watched foreign movies featuring angels to study their gestures in the act of growing wings. Among those he drew inspiration from are John Travolta in “Michael” and the French film “Ricky.”

Kim Bum’s Lee Kook Soo role is the guardian angel to Yang Kang Chil, played by Jung Woo Sung.

The younger actor had earlier said he decided to take on the role because he would like to work with director Kim Kyu Tae and scenarist Noh Hee Kyung. However, he has also built a good working relationship with his senior actors, Jung Woo Sung and Han Ji Min.

“He always has a charming smile on set, creating a good atmosphere,” Han Ji Min said. Kim Bum, along with cast and crew were caught on photographs in-between filming scenes and have even celebrated Han Ji Min’s birthday on set.

On a lighter note, Kim Bum was asked to comment on his good friend Lee Min Ho’s relationship with Park Min Young.

“I’m on good terms with the cast of ‘Boys Over Flowers.’ I actually just talked to Min Ho yesterday,” he said. “I’m in the same agency as Park Min Young, so I do know her and about their relationship as well.”

“Padam Padam” is Kim Bum’s first project since 2010’s “The Woman Who Wants to Marry.” The drama begins broadcast on December 5, launching the new cable channel jTBC.
