Actor Jang Keun-suk will make a cameo appearance in the Japanese remake of hit Korean TV series "You're Beautiful," according to his agency Tree J. Company on Friday.
Jang, who shot his part at a studio in Tokyo this month, will appear as a cameo in the eighth episode of the series set to air on September 2, Tree J stated through a press release.
Japanese broadcaster TBS has been airing the remake every Friday since July and stars Japanese actress and former singer Miori Takimoto, boy band Kis-My-Ft2’s Tamamori Yuta and Fujigaya Taisuke, and boy band Hey!Say!JUMP’s Yaotome Hikaru for the roles played by Korean actress Park Shin-hye, singer-actors Jang Keun-suk, Jung Yong-hwa and Lee Hong-gi, respectively.
In "You're Beautiful," popular in Korea during its run in 2009, Jang played Hwang Tae-kyung, the leader of rock band A.N.JELL. This role placed him onto super stardom throughout Asia.
He is now readying for his double main character roles in a Korean drama tentatively titled "Love Rain" which is scheduled to air in the first half of next year after going into shoot next month.
