KBS' historical saga "The Princess' Man" has been sold to several countries in Asia, according to the show's promoter MOS COMPANY.

On Monday, MOS announced in a press release that "The Princess' Man," starring Park Si-hoo and Moon Chae-won, was sold to Japan, Cambodia, Taiwan, China, Malaysia Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand while set to make its premiere overseas starting with Taiwan in December.

The press release also stated that Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia have inquired about the distribution rights for the novel adaptation of "The Princess' Man" which was released in the country in early September.

"The production company is currently working on releasing the director's cut DVD of 'The Princess' Man' while in discussions to plan the musical edition of the show," an official at KBS was quoted as saying in the statement.

"The Princess' Man," a Korean historical version of "Romeo and Juliet," will tell the story of Princess Se-ryong (Moon) who falls in love with Kim Seung-yoo (Park), the son of the man who opposes Se-ryong's father's rise to become king.

The show maintained steady ratings in the high 20 percentile range and dominated the No. 1 spot on the Monday and Tuesday primetime lineup during its three-month run.
