MBC will air Idol Olympics in its entirety, without editing scenes where Nichkhun appeared, even though he was involved in a drunk driving accident.
On July 25, an MBC senior official said, “We will air the show, which is scheduled to air on July 25 and 26, without editing scenes in which Nichkhun appeared.” He added, “Since many idol stars appeared on the show and played games together, it is difficult to delete Nichkhun only.”
The show was created to celebrate the ’2012 London Olympics’ and top idol stars will appear and challenge each other to several matches, including, track and field, archery, fencing, and table tennis.
The first episode of the show will air on July 25 at 10 o’clock at night and the second episode will air on July 26 at the same time.
Both of the episodes will air on July 28 as an encore. Nichkhun was driving his own car on July 23 when he was involved in an accident with a motorcycle.
Motorcycle driver Park was injured and hospitalized in Seoul.
Nichkhun was driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.056 percent, which led to the revocation of his driver’s license.
The police will summon Nichkhun again to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
