MBC drama “The Horse Doctor” has stayed firm atop the Monday and Tuesday primetime ratings chart, holding off other strong competitors.

The Cho Seung-woo and Lee Yo-won starrer grabbed the top seed for two consecutive weeks, attracting an average rating of 16.5 percent in the fourth week of October, according to data polled by TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics].

Helmed by Le.e Byung-hoon of Hallyu drama “Jewel in The Palace” (MBC, 2003-2004), "The King's Doctor" has garnered strong support from the audience by showing the process of a veterinarian named Baek Gwang-hyun [played by Cho] growing into a loyal doctor of the King in the Joseon Dynasty.

Following after the chart-topper is KBS “Ohlala Couple,” which posted 12.8 percent in ratings during the same period.

Starring Kim Jung-eun and Shin Hyun-joon, the whimsical TV series has especially mesmerized the 30-50 age group by telling the story of a married couple whose soul changes inexplicably.

The husband and wife, who have been living very different lives from each other as a hotel manager and a house wife, began to understand each other better while living in the other's body.

SBS’ historical fantasy “The Faith,” starring actor Lee Min-ho and actress Kim Hee-seon, maintained its bottom spot again with only 10 percent of the audience tuned in during the week of October 22 to 23.

In the meantime, AGB Nielson Media Research’s data showed the dramas in the same order but registered slightly different figures from the TNmS’ this week.

While “The Horse Doctor” topped the chart with 14.3 percent, “Ohlala Couple” and “The Faith” each landed at No. 2 and No. 3 with 11 and 9.1 percent, respectively.
