The Taiwanese artiste held a press conference yesterday to announce the formation of his new artist management company Tian Liang.

The other shareholders of the company, Taiwanese director Doze Niu and Taiwan filmmaker Lee Lieh, were also present at the press conference. The three of them became close friends after working together on Doze Niu’s movie Monga.

While Ethan’s mother, brother and colleagues turned up at the press conference to congratulate him and give their support, while his girlfriend Tiffany Hsu was nowhere to be seen. Ethan explained that he prefers some time alone during his work since they normally see each other quite often.

When asked if the couple plans to marry soon, Ethan said that they are not engaged yet because they each have their own dreams to fulfill before committing to a marriage. However, Ethan emphasised that Tiffany is the one and only person that he wishes to spend his life with.

During the press conference, Ethan revealed that Doze and Lee Lieh used to be at loggerheads during the filming of Monga because the perfectionist Doze took his time to film the movie to ensure the quality of the film, but Lee Lieh who was the producer kept rushing him to stick with the schedule.

Doze explained, “We were working with each other for the first time and our tempo was different.” Ethan joked that he often acted as the middleman between them.
Doze and Lee Lieh also praised Ethan’s growth as an actor, adding that he has gone from being rash to being more mature and humble.

Ethan’s mother also praised her son for being caring and obedient. The 30-year-old actor said that he has learnt how to control his temper and to remain calm when others try to provoke him.
